This class is suitable for doctors, nurses, caregivers and other professionals working in the health-care industry. The course covers adult, infant and child CPR (one and two rescuer), use of a bag mask, foreign-body airway obstruction for conscious and unconscious victims and automated external defibrillation.

This course is 3 hours in length. Each participant who completes the class must pass a skills check off as well as a 25 question written exam. Upon successful completion, a Healthcare Provider Card will be issued.

Heartsaver First Aid, CPR, AED teaches students critical skills needed to respond to and manage a first aid, choking or sudden cardiac arrest emergency in the first few minutes until emergency medical services (EMS) arrives. This course covers care for adult, child, and infant. Heartsaver is great for business office workers, restaurant employees, stay-at-home parent groups and anyone who wishes to learn life-saving CPR. Child Care workers may be required to take a Pediatric (only) Heartsaver Course. Please check with your employer or compliance contact person to decide which course meets your needs.

ACLS is an advanced course that highlights the importance of team dynamics and communication, systems of care and immediate post-cardiac-arrest care. It also covers airway management and related pharmacology. In this course, skills are taught in large, group sessions and small, group learning and testing stations where case-based scenarios are presented.

Students must purchase the AHA ACLS Provider Manual prior to the class date. Students must be familiar with ECG Rhythm recognition, pharmacology standards, and the ACLS algorithms found in the provider manual prior to attending class.

HeartCode PALS Part 1 is a web-based, self-directed program that teaches healthcare providers knowledge and skills needed to recognize and prevent cardiopulmonary arrest in infants and children.

This program uses eSimulation technology to allow students to assess and treat patients in virtual healthcare settings. In this environment, students apply their knowledge to real-time decision-making and skills development. Debriefings and coaching are provided immediately after each simulation to facilitate learning about pediatric advanced life support.

Part 1 delivers the cognitive learning through Web-based, self-paced modules. Part 2 requires students to meet with an American Heart Association Instructor to complete a hands-on skills practice session. Upon successful completion of both parts students receive a course completion card valid for two years.This course requires in person skills check off which is included in your price.

The BLS Instructor Course is a program designed to prepare American Heart Association (AHA) instructors to disseminate the science, skills, and philosophy of resuscitation programs to participants enrolled in AHA courses. Upon successful completion of this course, Instructors will be able to instruct all AHA BLS courses: Healthcare Provider CPR, Heartsaver CPR/AED, Family & Friends CPR, CPR in Schools, First Aid, & Pediatric First Aid. This is a two part course, including the online “Core Instructor Course” and a one day classroom session with our staff. You must provide proof of a current BLS for Healthcare Providers card in order to take this course.

This course is suitable for child care workers, school personnel, health care workers, occupational health, maintenance workers, tattoo artists, security, state correctional facilities, health and fitness staff and any facility wishing to learn to protect themselves and others. The Blood Borne Pathogen course meets Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA) requirements for blood born pathogen training when paired with site specific training. This course lasts for one hour and your certification is given the same day of class.
